Maternal Journey

Simone DeGiorgio is the director of Maternal Journey and has been working in Hamilton New Zealand as a Childbirth Educator since 2002, supporting families through pregnancy, birth and early parenting.  Prior to becoming a Childbirth Educator Simone worked in Australia, supporting women and children in community based welfare organisations, predominately in crisis support in the area of sexual assault.  Simone's passion for education and support has lead her to providing the many parenting workshops and courses provided by Maternal Journey, focusing on working with parents to find what works best for them.   

Bev Hampton is a physiotherapist who has worked in private practice in Australia and New Zealand over the past 6 years.  She has worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the specialised area of Women' Health physiotherapy, with particular focus on antenatal and postnatal treatment.  Bev decided to follow her passion in the area of pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal support through training to become a Childbirth Educator.  Bev has recently had the amazing experience of having a beautiful baby boy, which has enhanced her enthusiasm of working with and supporting women through pregnancy, birth and beyond.   BHSc(Physiotherapy), DipCBE.
